Private-label sustainable supplier selection using a fuzzy entropy-VIKOR-based approach

Abstract In recent decades, private labels have been the focus of great development in retail due to their price advantage and consumer-oriented production. With growing customer awareness safety health, private-label sustainable supplier selection has become a strategic issue for many retailers. Although there are studies on issues evaluation methods, sustainability consumption sectors rather limited. Therefore, novel three-phase MCDM model compliance with criteria is proposed. First, Delphi method used construct system based detailed literature review. Then, an integrated weight algorithm suggested, which objective weights attributes’ entropy measurements, subjective derived from decision-makers’ preferences. Eventually, during evaluation, fuzzy set extended VIKOR exploited by considering vagueness decision makers’ expressions. The results case study then show that green packaging labelling, relationship manufacturing brand, order flexibility, product traceability most important selection. flexibility reliability proposed also demonstrated practical evaluation.
